Oktava is a legendary manufacturer of professional studio microphones. The company was founded in 1927 in Tula, the USSR, and throughout the years it has become a world-famous brand with a highly respected name in the industry. In fact, Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet astronaut and the first human to journey into outer space, said his famous words “Let’s Go!” into one of the Oktava’s microphones. Today, Oktava products are popular all over the world and are known to be favored by musicians such as Sting, U2, Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson and Radiohead.
All the Oktava products are manufactured in Tula, Russia, where Oktava has originated and to this day has its headquarters. Today, it employs over 460 members of staff and has solid experience in producing small-diaphragm microphones, overhead microphones, microphones for acoustic guitars, special adapters and other accessories.
